We would like to inform you that State Bank of India has invited applications from eligible candidates for their SBI PORecruitment 2013. Candidates can view the full details of this recruitment below for their reference. Kindly note that the last date to apply for SBI PO Recruitment 2013 is 23rd Feb 2013. Candidates are requested to apply before the last date in order to avoid the last minute rush.

SBI is the biggest bank in India and every year they recruit many candidates for Clerks and Probationary Officers. This year also the SBI has started off with inviting applications for recruitment of PO in State Bank of India.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO Recruitment 2013 :

Academic Requirements : Candidates who wish to apply for the posts of PO's must be having atleast a Graduation Degree from a recognized university or any equivalent qual. Kindly note that the degree borne by you should be recognized by the Central Government.

Age Requirements : The age requirements for various categories has been given below for your reference. Please note that all the ages will be calculated as on 1st Jan 2013.

GEN : Between 21 to 30 Years
SC/ST : 21 to 35 Years
OBC : 21 to 33 Years
VH/OH (GEN) : 21 to 40 Years
VH/OH (OBC) : 21 to 43 Years
VH/OH (SC/ST) : 21 to 45 Years

NOTE : CUMULATIVE AGE RELAXATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE EITHER UNDER THE
ABOVE ITEMS OR IN COMBINATION WITH ANY OTHER ITEMS.

Selection Procedure for SBI PO Recruitment 2013 

Selection to this recruitment will be made through 2 phases which will be followed by a Final Selection.  Details of both the Phases and the Final Selection has been given below.

Phase 1 - This would be an written examination which would be consisting of 250 marks. These 250 marks would comprise of Objective and Descriptive questions. Out of these 250 marks, 200 marks would be of Objective type questions and the duration for which will be 120 Mins. The objective test will have 50 marks of each of the sections given below :
  1. English Language
  2. General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
  3. Data Analysis and Interpretation
  4. Reasoning (High Level)
The Descriptive Test will be consisting of 50 marks and would have to be completed in 60 Mins. This test would be of English Language ( comprehension, short precis, letter writing and essay's).

We would like to inform our readers that they will have to secure a passing marks in the Objective test and only then the Descriptive test marks would be considered. In case the candidate does not secured passing marks in Objective test while he/she secures passing marks in Descriptive Test then the candidate would NOT qualify for stage 2 of SBI PORecruitment 2013.

Phase 2 - After the candidates passes the Phase 1 tests then he will be selected for phase 2. In this phase, their will be a Group Discussion (20 Marks) and an Interview (30 Marks).

Final Selection : The candidates who qualifies in both the phases will be called for the Final Selection. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category. Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase II and thereafter, the list of candidates finally selected will be available on the Bank’s website. Final select list will be published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar.
